The merchants up in the town of Vashon get together every year and sponsor a "Safe and Sane" evening of Trick-or-Treating!

Vashon Highway SW is closed to all vehicles through town for about three hours, and all the kids who want to come up to town, in costume, and go from store to store, trick-or-treating.
