Minor tech note...

...which I rarely do. I was messing with my camera (Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, 70-200mm f2.8L zoom) setup for these pics, experimenting with ISO 12,800. That allowed me to shoot at a much higher shutter speed (1/1250th sec) which is good for stopping the action of sports while still getting a workable exposure that wouldn't need to be pushed too much in Lightroom.

So. Yeah, the exposure was great, but I noticed an overall softness in the focus, and some instances where the camera/lens simply couldn't set or maintain focus from one shot to the next in a burst. So these pics have some focus issues and when I start basketball in the winter I'm going back to ISO 6400...
