July 4th Fireworks!

The Quartermaster Harbor fireworks show has been financed by Islander Tom (Misty Isle Farms) Stewart for 15 years. Tom's moved to Arizona, so 2006 is likely the last show of this scale and magnitude we'll see for a long time. The size and quality of the fireworks show has become something of a Puget Sound legend, as witnessed by the traffic jam (bumper-to-bumper traffic up the Island Highway) after the show as a *lot* of people head north to the Vashon-Fauntleroy ferry.
